A little late on the update with this one...sowwie!
Actually, I still don't even know where to start. IT WAS HUGE! Being my first time there I had no idea that it was gonna be so mind blowing. Just the vast amount of people in attendance makes you want to run to your mommy. Wading through such a sea of bodies was a new experience and one that I was quite terrified of I might add. But to my suprise I came through with flying colors with the help of my wonderful husband and easy going roomies.
READ ONLY IF YOU LOVE TWILIGHT:
The Twilight panel was a bit of a bust IMHO. I was in line at 5am, which was not early in comparison to the ones who were camped out at 5pm the previous day. So by the time I got seated in the ginormous Hall H I was still halfway back, making Robb Pattinson about 1cm tall, yes 10mm. I did enjoy the commentary by the new director Chris Weitz. He was incredible and relieved a lot of my fears about having him as director (I did not enjoy The Golden Compass). Taylor Lautner was great too...he seemed so sincere about wanting to please the fans. Very smiley and upbeat. Kristen and Robb were both fairly quiet and seemed shy, but that's kinda how they've been all along so that's ok. Ashley Greene was so sweet and I'm really glad she was there.
After the panel, we had tickets to see a special viewing of Twilight at the local theater that would feature a visit from cast members. Tickets were very limited and I thought it would only be shown in 1 theater, but it turned out to be a 15 theater multiplex with a showing on every screen. So we waited outside, down the block, in the sun, for 4 hours...just to get inside. Then we find out it was a random 5 cast members who would visit. Which after seeing the rabidness and pushiness of the fans I can see why it had to be done that way. I knew Twilight had tons of fannage, I just had no idea they were this crazy! Fortunately, the fans we were in line with were really awesome and that made the whole experience much cooler. But people, when you're in a huge crowd like that there's no need to push and crush the people at the front of the line! It's terrifying...seriously! And I'm not even clausterphobic (Lynette you were such a trooper)! So yeah, this little girl will be happy with being a couch fan from now on. But I digress...the cast members that visited us were Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, and 2 others from New Moon who I didn't recognize (one was Jamie something.... the kid from Sweeny Todd. I know, bad Twilight fan). Their visit was the best part of the entire SDCC Twilight experience. Kellan was just awesome, & Nikki was fantastic! So kind and professional and really caring about the fans; I have so much respect for them.
TWILIGHT COVERAGE OVER
I honestly don't remember too much about the rest of the show except wandering around looking at stuff in the exhibit hall. It took that many days just to see a portion of what was there. I did get some autographs from Mark Hammill (Luke Skywalker), Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek), and Kevin & Olivia from Attack of the Show.
THE BEST BEST PART was the city of San Diego itself. I highly recommend everyone to visit there. It's the most beautiful large city I have ever been to. Clean, beautiful architecture & landscaping, the most delicious food, and not a single ugly dog in the entire city! And kudos to the Embassy Suites Hotel because that is by far the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. YUM!

It's twilight, It's the safest time of day for us. The easiest time. But also the saddest, in a way the end of another day, the return of the night. Darkness is so predictable, don't you think?
